Good evening fellow waterfowl hunters.
Just wanted to let everyone know that we had a group down from Pa that had a fantastic trip. We shot a limit of 10 brant and one and half limits of ducks on saturday in 40 mph winds over taylor decoys. I have added a flock of Taylor Brant decoys to the spread this year and they are beautiful. I have to give credit to Clint Taylor for making a fine decoy that can be put over the fire place as well as hunted over. I also have to give credit to Pat and his 2 wing men Dale and Matt, these PA boys can shoot and they did not hit my decoys. They did manage to keep my lab, Hammering Hank, my helper Scotty and Me hopping all day. We had started our day with plan "A" being scratched due to 40 mph winds. I told the boys no worries I do have plan B and C to go thru yet. After a couple mile relocation we were on our way. Plan "B" turned out to be ok to get on the water but a wash at the blind site due to incoming wind boiling the water in front of my blind. Plan "C" it was. I had set out the Taylor Decoys and some bufflehead decoys and started to cook up a nice breakfast of eggs and sausage in the boat, while the boys piled up everything flying. Pat, Matt and Dale limited out on Brant and we had to relocate for some duck shooting. The shooting died off in the afternoon after the tide dropped but the boys managed a couple ducks in the late afternoon. Thanks again to Pat, Dale and Matt for booking with Fins and Feathers Outfitters. I look forward to having you guys back in Snow Goose Season, we can put tighter chokes in and really test your shooting ability. Good Luck in Pa. Lock and Load boys lets shoot something....
